What is the admission Process at HEC Montreal?
HEC Montréal’s Bachelor’s programs are accessible after a year of preparatory classes in the economic and commercial or scientific series, with an overall average and results in mathematics courses above those of the group. It is also possible to apply after one year of university studies with an overall average of at least 12/20.
To enter one of the Master’s level programs, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum average of 12/20 for each year completed. It should also be noted that candidates may be required to take a micro-program if they have not completed at least 4 years of higher education. With respect to aptitude test score requirements, applications will not be considered below a TAGEMAGE score of 300.

Candidates for a Bachelor’s degree program must take an English test and send the supporting documents requested by the school: a copy of the transcripts of the last year of the Bachelor’s degree, a confirmation of the Bachelor’s degree and a copy of the official transcript of the first university term or of the preparatory year (if applicable).
To apply to one of HEC Montreal’s Masters programs, the applicant must complete an online application and include several supporting documents: a copy of official transcripts for each year of previous studies, a copy of university diplomas, a list of courses taken outside of HEC, proof of professional credentials (if applicable), proof of compliance with language requirements, two letters of recommendation, as well as official GMAT, TAGE MAGE or GRE test results. In addition, a letter of motivation should be submitted, including answers to questions about the applicant’s choice of study program, career plan, interests and work experience.
